When Elizabeth Walker married in Daylesford Victoria Australia in 1863, she gave a middle name Miriam, said she was born in Welland Worcestershire. She gave her parent's names as William Walker and Susannah Pitt. From the age she gave she would have been born in 1839. The age given on her tombstone in Daylesford also indicates a birth year of 1839
There is a marriage between a William Walker and Susannah Pitt in Powick in 1840.
It is possible that she was born before her "parents" married, so she might have had the surname Pitt or Walker.
We can find no trace of her in the GRO , or the 1841 or 1851 censuses, nor in the lists of passengers arriving in Victoria around 1860.
We would be grateful, very grateful, for any leads on this elusive young lady!!
