[SOUTH WORCS COMMUNITY MESSAGING - SouthWorcester - NW 21.10.09 (2)]
Good afternoon,
Please note that we have had a report of a possible fuel theft in Dunley, and a possible attempted theft of fuel from an address in Grafton Flyford. These incidents may well not be linked to each other.
The incident in Grafton Flyford took place between 1000hrs-1030hrs on 16th Oct at a location on Worcester Road. A "scruffily dressed" male was seen tampering with a domestic fuel tank. Fortunately, the tank was padlocked, and the padlock remained intact. Incident ref 384-S-161009.
The incident in Dunley took place at approx 2350hrs on 20th October. Although - so far at least - we have not had a report of a fuel theft in the area, three suspicious males were seen with an empty fuel barrel, and were then seen again a short while later with the barrel now full of (presumably) fuel. The three males were all white, in their early 20's, all had short hair and were casually dressed, fairly tall and "lean". One had a red baseball cap on. They were seen to get into a white Renault van, reg VX03XVN, which had a trailer attached. Incident ref 739-S-201009.
To those of you with fuel on your premises, please take all reasonable security precautions. To those of you in the areas of the above incidents, please report any information that may help us with our enquiries, by calling the call centre, via the switchboard on 0300 333 3000, quoting the relevant incident ref number.
Many thanks.
